Books
John Barach tagged me for a book questionnaire that’s going around.
Qualifier: “the Bible” would be my first answer for at least questions 1, 2, 3, and 8.
1. One book that changed your life: A Whole New Life by Reynolds Price
2. One book that you’ve read more than once: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
3. One book you’d want on a desert island: Canoe and Boat Building: A Complete Manual for Amateurs by W. P. Stevens
4. One book that made you laugh: Straight Man by Richard Russo (and I’ve only read the prologue so far).
5. One book that made you cry: Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
6. One book that you wish had been written: The Great American Novel by Glenda Mathes
7. One book that you wish had never been written: The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
8. One book you’re currently reading: Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read: Can You Forgive Her? The first of the Palliser Novels by Anthony Trollope
10. Now tag five people: This is tough since it’s been going the rounds and most of my book-reading friends either have already done this or do not have a blog, but I’ll tag the following five people and apologize up front for any apparent presumption on somewhat tentative acquaintances:
Jeremy
Michael
Wayne
Sally
Steve
