George Grant's blog alerted me to the existence of a newly published book by J.R.R. Tolkien, reviewed here in the Washington Post. Grant correctly notes that the reviewer "invariably mistakes the themes of Biblical Providence for Helenistic Fate." I've added The Children of Hurin to my Amazon wish list.
Gene Edward Veith's blog, Cranach, mentions that Ken Wales is considering a movie production of The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. Wales was the producer of Amazing Grace, the recent movie about William Wilberforce.
John Barach offers some interesting observations in this analysis of the movie Chocolat on his blog.
And the April 18 post of Kim Riddlebarger talks about an interesting article from the Jerusalem Post that discredits "Lucy" as a human ancestor.
