Voice of the ... Tree Frog?
In mid-February, I blogged about winter soon being past and hearing the voice of the dove in the land.
Yesterday was the first day of spring. It was also the first day I heard the peeping of the tree frogs in our swamp.
During the long frozen winter, I had forgotten all about tree frogs. But yesterday, as small dirty patches of stubborn snow melted in the increasingly green grass, I heard the tree frogs peep.
Forget about spotting robins. The first sign of spring here at Cottonwood Hollow is the tree frog chorus echoing beside the creek.
